What is a QR code generator?

A QR code generator turns a web address, Wi-Fi credential or contact record into a square code a phone camera can read. The Monolith Works generator produces on-brand codes with custom colours, corner styles and an embedded logo, exportable as a high-resolution PNG or a vector SVG for print.

How to use it

  1. 1Enter the data to encode (URL, Wi-Fi details or text).
  2. 2Adjust colour, corner style and dot shape to match your brand.
  3. 3Optionally place your logo in the centre.
  4. 4Download as PNG or SVG.

Frequently asked questions

Does adding a logo break the code?

+

Not at a reasonable size. QR codes carry an error-correction layer, so they still scan when a small portion is obscured. Even so, test the finished code on several phones and from a few distances before you send it to print.

Which format should I use for print?

+

Use SVG for print. Being vector, it scales to signage, catalogue or poster size with no edge degradation. For screens, email signatures or social media, a high-resolution PNG is enough.

Does the code expire?

+

No. The generated code is static: the data lives inside the code itself, not on our servers. It works indefinitely and does not depend on our service staying online. It only stops being useful if the destination address goes away.
